Super Duper

Burgers · 1 block from Sproul

Even though Super Duper is a chain restaurant I think it's very important in the Berkeley community. It's only one block away from Sproul Hall so it's very convenient. I would go order from there and do takeout to my dorm as a freshman. I do see that because it is very close I always see it as a "I can go there anytime" and would never end up going there. I really enjoy eating the Spicy Bird with the garlic fries. If I feel like it I would also get the Milkshake as well.

슈퍼 두퍼는 체인 레스토랑이지만 버클리 커뮤니티에서 아주 중요한 곳이라고 생각합니다. 스프라울 홀에서 한 블록밖에 안 떨어져 있어서 정말 편해요. 신입생 때는 여기서 주문해서 기숙사로 포장해 가서 먹곤 했습니다. 너무 가까워서 "언제든지 갈 수 있지"라는 생각에 오히려 결국 안 가게 되는 곳이기도 해요. 저는 스파이시 버드와 갈릭 프라이를 같이 먹는 것을 정말 좋아합니다. 당기는 날에는 밀크셰이크도 시켜요.

Aunque Super Duper es un restaurante de cadena, creo que es muy importante en la comunidad de Berkeley. Está a solo una cuadra de Sproul Hall así que es muy conveniente. De estudiante de primer año pedía ahí y me llevaba la comida a mi dormitorio. Como está tan cerca siempre pienso "puedo ir cuando quiera" y al final nunca termino yendo. Me encanta comer el Spicy Bird con las papas fritas de ajo. Si me antoja, también pido el Milkshake.

La Burrita

La Burrita is one of Berkeley's classical places to eat. After a night out Frat Partying many people go here for a delicious burrito or taco. Personally I don't really like burritos but I do enjoy their Quesabirria and their California Taco. I personally like this restaurant more than the other Taco Place across the street in Asian Ghetto.

라 부리타는 버클리의 클래식 맛집 중 하나입니다. 밤에 파티가 끝나면 많은 사람들이 맛있는 부리토나 타코를 먹으러 여기로 가요. 저는 사실 부리토를 별로 안 좋아하지만 여기 케사비리아와 캘리포니아 타코는 정말 좋아합니다. 개인적으로 길 건너 "Asian Ghetto"에 있는 다른 타코 가게보다 이 식당이 더 마음에 들어요.

La Burrita es uno de los lugares clásicos de Berkeley para comer. Después de una noche de fiesta mucha gente viene aquí por un burrito o un taco delicioso. Personalmente no me gustan mucho los burritos pero sí disfruto su Quesabirria y su California Taco. Me gusta más este restaurante que el otro lugar de tacos cruzando la calle en el Asian Ghetto.

Artichoke's Pizza

Pizza · worth the big buck

Artichoke's Pizza price might be scary but the size and taste is definitely worth the big buck! Like La Burrita, Artichoke is another staple food place for late night foodies. I really enjoy their Margherita Pizza and their specialty Artichoke Pizza. I like to combo these together because the Artichoke does have a greasy feeling after a few bites which is when you take a few bites of the Margherita pizza. The Artichoke has a very creamy texture not made out of the regular tomato sauce. The Margherita pizza is the classic pizza with a hint of basil which further elevates the taste. I always add pepper flakes, cheese, tabasco, and the most important: this green stuff. I'm not sure what it is but it's great.

아티초크 피자는 가격만 보면 좀 무섭게 느껴질 수 있지만 크기와 맛을 생각하면 확실히 그만한 가치가 있습니다! 라 부리타처럼 아티초크도 야식을 즐기는 사람들에게 필수 코스예요. 저는 마르게리타 피자와 시그니처인 아티초크 피자를 정말 좋아합니다. 이 둘을 같이 먹는 걸 추천하는데, 아티초크 피자는 몇 입 먹다 보면 살짝 느끼해지고 그때 마르게리타를 몇 입 먹으면 딱 좋아요. 아티초크 피자는 일반 토마토 소스로 만든 게 아니라서 아주 크리미한 식감입니다. 마르게리타는 바질 향이 살짝 나는 클래식 피자라서 맛이 한층 더 살아나요. 저는 항상 페퍼 플레이크, 치즈, 타바스코, 그리고 제일 중요한 초록색 가루를 뿌려 먹습니다. 뭔지는 잘 모르겠지만 정말 맛있어요.

El precio de Artichoke's Pizza puede asustar un poco pero el tamaño y el sabor definitivamente valen la pena. Igual que La Burrita, Artichoke es otro lugar básico para los que comen tarde en la noche. Me gustan mucho su pizza Margherita y su especialidad, la pizza de alcachofa. Me gusta combinar las dos porque la de alcachofa se siente un poco grasosa después de unos bocados, y ahí es cuando comes unos bocados de la Margherita. La de alcachofa tiene una textura muy cremosa porque no está hecha con la salsa de tomate normal. La Margherita es la pizza clásica con un toque de albahaca que eleva aún más el sabor. Siempre le agrego hojuelas de chile, queso, tabasco y lo más importante: esa cosa verde. No sé qué es pero es buenísima.

Top Dog

Hot dogs · grill always on

Top Dog is another great staple food for Berkeley late nighters. Although the lines do get long, the grill is always on and you should get your hot dog in 15 minutes even when it's busy. There are over 10 different types of sausages and each one has an individual flavor. I personally enjoy the hot link as I enjoy spicy food. They have all the condiments such as ketchup, mustard, relish, and minced white onions. You can only use a card if the purchase is over 5 dollars so you have to buy at least 2 which is perfect as I personally believe one is too little.

탑 독 역시 버클리의 야식 필수 코스입니다. 줄이 길어질 때도 있지만 그릴이 항상 켜져 있어서 바쁠 때도 15분 안에는 핫도그를 받을 수 있어요. 소시지 종류가 10가지가 넘고 각각 개성 있는 맛이 있습니다. 저는 매운 음식을 좋아해서 핫 링크를 즐겨 먹어요. 케첩, 머스타드, 렐리시, 다진 양파 같은 소스들도 다 준비되어 있습니다. 5달러 이상부터 카드를 쓸 수 있어서 최소 두 개는 사야 하는데, 저는 하나로는 부족하다고 생각해서 오히려 딱 좋습니다.

Top Dog es otro clásico para los que comen tarde en Berkeley. Aunque las filas se hacen largas, la parrilla siempre está encendida y te dan tu hot dog en unos 15 minutos incluso cuando hay mucha gente. Hay más de 10 tipos diferentes de salchichas y cada una tiene su propio sabor. Personalmente me gusta el hot link porque disfruto la comida picante. Tienen todos los condimentos como ketchup, mostaza, relish y cebolla blanca picada. Solo puedes usar tarjeta si la compra es de más de 5 dólares así que tienes que comprar al menos 2, lo cual es perfecto porque yo creo que uno es muy poco.
